Sony Music’s Global Finance department, based at 25 Madison Ave, is looking for an individual who is interested in learning about Sony Music’s finance and treasury operations.  With a focus on financial analysis and reporting, this full time position would have a key role in preparing and analyzing our consolidated financial statements, with high visibility to our senior management and executives.  The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic, detail-oriented, comfortable interacting with all levels of the business, and interested in the financial operations of a music and entertainment company.



  • Review monthly financial statements of Sony Music’s US Labels and International affiliates
  • Prepare and analyze monthly Balance Sheet and Cash Flow statements
  • Provide monthly Balance Sheet commentary for SME senior management
  • Prepare quarterly reports detailing key balance sheet accounts
  • Provide quarterly Balance Sheet analyses to PwC and Sony Corporation of America
  • Assist Associate Director, Global Finance with Cash Flow forecasting
  • Coordinate with Treasury department to hedge for foreign currency exposure
  • Analyze and review results of monthly FX hedging; maintain global FX rates
  • Monitor bank activity and ensure accurate reporting of bank balances and interest


  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to handle time-sensitive projects efficiently and work well under pressure
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting, Finance, or related field
