Director, Direct-to-Consumer Marketing is responsible for establishing, leading and optimizing all Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) activities for Legacy Recordings, serving as a hub between all Legacy departments to ensure cohesive strategy and execution.


  • Lead the evolution of Legacy’s D2C business from product ideation to set-up, marketing execution and post-analysis
  • Work seamlessly with sales team in optimizing all 3rd party D2C partner relationships
  • Partner with A&R staff and project managers on the creation of a D2C release schedule & identification of marketing opportunities/D2C drivers
  • Oversee existing storefronts to ensure appropriate branding, product-mix and pricing
  • Collaborate closely with digital team to ensure we are maximizing CRM and D2C opportunities
  • Establish workflows around data points to and from Legacy’s owned marketing platforms and available 3rd party data points
  • Create appropriate bundling opportunities around tickets, merch and recorded music products
  • Lead an ongoing strategic analysis of competitive landscape
  • Ensure partner compliance across all business-critical areas around chart reporting, privacy and data flow
  • Work closely with marketing and CRM teams on development of Legacy loyalty programs around artists, genres and formats (i.e., vinyl and high res)


  • 5+ years of direct response and e-commerce experience in an integrated, multi-channel marketing environment
  • History of profitable channel management and driving business growth
  • Superior analytic skills, and the ability to compile, analyze and leverage performance data to both identify new opportunities and optimize current campaigns
  • Deep background in consumer marketing via online media sources including paid search, SEO/SEM, affiliate marketing, CRM and social media.
  • Demonstrated experience in consumer segmentation strategy
  • Track record of analyzing and growing new consumer acquisition programs
  • Must have experience with a company that has multiple lines of business and product categories
  • Well-organized, work effectively under deadlines, ability to multitask and handle high profile clients, upper management and fast paced work environment
  • Creative self-starter with strong writing skills, aesthetic sensibilities and ability to productize social/cultural/entertainment trends
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Passionate music fan with broad knowledge of music across multiple genres
  • Management of membership, loyalty, subscription or continuity programs a plus
  • Experience with digital, mobile, and apps a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
