    The Manager of Digital Strategy will be part of a team responsible for implementing digital strategy and revenue-generating campaigns for a roster of country music artists. We are looking for an individual who wants to take social and digital marketing to new levels of measurability, effectiveness and profitability.

    • Oversee content development and management for Sony Nashville web properties and social media profiles, develop label voice and increase consumer engagement by leveraging social content created by artists, third party partners, and other internal SMN departments
    • Manage creation, maintenance, and ongoing quality assurance of artists’ and labels’ online presences; build and engage social network communities; develop CRM initiatives and newsletters to maximize consumer loyalty
    • Manage creation and posting strategies of web-based content (video, audio, graphic, text) for use in digital advertising, social networking, website, and mobile communities
    • Identify trends, develop new models of digital engagement, and execute innovative campaigns
    • Track and utilize campaign and social data, analyze consumer online behavior, and prepare regular reporting
    • Identify and evaluate new technology and innovative marketing techniques to build Sony Nashville’s and its artists’ brands, while driving music streaming and consumption growth
    • Create and execute content and digital advertising strategies that support the voice, tone and style of Sony Music Nashville and its artists, reaching their target audiences as efficiently as possible
    • Work closely with key internal label teams, artists, and management throughout the project life cycle to communicate about new products, technologies, strategies, social communities and available digital opportunities
    • Work with radio promotion department to develop digital promotions and generate engaging content
    • Work with internal production and release planning staff regarding scheduling of digital products
    • Work with internal business & legal affairs department regarding development contracts, contesting, clearances, compliance and more
    • Work with internal brand partnerships team to leverage online communities, run sweeps and build CRM lists
    • Strategize, create, develop, and execute digital marketing campaigns for assigned artists and projects
    • Contribute to building visibility for artists and projects by working with third-party lifestyle, music, and country genre websites, artist-managed websites, review sites, blogs, music destination websites, and social networks


    • Experience managing social media platforms, CRM systems, digital advertising, and other relevant digital platforms, including application of best practices associated with these platforms
    • Experience in a digital marketing position with proven success in creating innovative, creative campaigns
    • Broad understanding of basic marketing principles, on-line community building, consumer trends, and brand/artist integration opportunities
    • Solid understanding and passion for digital innovation and an ability to apply relevant trends to music marketing
    • Experience deriving insight and action through data analytics, specifically in the digital space
    • Experience with social and online analytics tools
    • Extensive knowledge of digital music space, including online and mobile
    • Experience with content management systems; WordPress experience a plus
    • Experience in the music business or in a role marketing comparable brands preferred; label experience a plus
    • Broad understanding of HTML required
    • Basic graphic design skills with proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
    • Basic CRM platform management experience; Salesforce and MailChimp experience a plus
    • Experience with Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or comparable video-editing software
    • Basic experience capturing audio/video content (particularly of public figures) a plus
    • Experience in a role that required a collaborative, consultative approach along with strong presentation skills and ability to explain complex situations in clear terms to management and large groups
    • Advanced organizational skills with a strong work ethic
    • Strong communication skills, including superb writing and editing skills
    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing/promotions/advertising or related field a plus
    • Willingness to work extended hours including nights and weekends


    In addition to the above, the ideal candidate will …

    • Have a background in one or more of the following: marketing, analytics, web design, and writing
    • Have experience working in a record label
    • Be able to think creatively, but be willing to dive into the nitty-gritty aspects of managing social media platforms, CRM systems, and data analysis
