    The position will be a key part of Sony Music Entertainment’s Global Digital Business Group.


    The Senior Analyst, Partner Reporting is responsible for providing global transparency surrounding key Digital Partners, monitoring and reporting Partner performance through data analysis, and insight based on a deep understanding of the KPIs and drivers. This role will be responsible for reporting digital partner results to be utilized by account managers and senior management to help drive sales, market share and partner relationships for Sony Music.


    This position reports to the Director of Partner Reporting within Sony Music’s Global Digital Business Group.


    • Digital Account Review – Preparation of materials used for Exec review meetings on forecast and budgeting. Keeping key metrics organized and up to date for management presentations and sales reports.
    • Partner Scorecard Dashboards – design and maintenance of interactive performance dashboards used worldwide to access key data for our top partners.
    • International Affiliate Reporting – Distributing and communicating digital sales performance results to global offices and working with their finance teams to understand their local forecasts.
    • Account Strategy – Establish strong relationships with internal partner development teams to gain an understanding of their strategies and objectives. Work closely to ensure the data they need is available.
    • Cross Partner Reporting – Track and analyze KPIs across our top Global Partners and territories and communicate key trends, comparisons and monthly performance.
    • Financial Data/Systems – Point person for the raw data received from digital partners, and liaising with WNS/IT, deal admin & Business Development to ensure data integrity and report accuracy, and assist with the onboarding of new partner statements. Resolve technical issues and implement enhancements / automation to reporting systems.
    • Proactive Team Player – Influence internal stakeholders at all levels of the organization to take action based on insights generated to seize business opportunities. Collaborate with GDB team members primarily in NY and London offices, as well as Sony’s global offices.
    • Special Projects – Support account managers and senior management on ad hoc sales reporting needs relating to business changes which require deep dive analysis.


    • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience post college, preferably in an analytical role within the financial services and/or music industry.
    • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to connect disparate data sources into a straightforward, insightful story.
    • Ability to work with technical teams to define business requirements for automated reporting systems.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively report findings and influence change within the organization.
    • Proactive, highly organized team player who is detail oriented.
    • Analytical mindset - ability to identify trends in large datasets, display creativity in problem-solving, and generate new ideas.
    • Pre-MBA.
    • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLookups, etc.), extensive experience in PowerPoint, and experience with reporting/visualization software (Alteryx, Tableau, Business Objects, etc.).
    • Ability to thrive in fast paced environment, manage multiple tasks at once and work to deadlines.
    • Music industry experience preferred, but not required. It is expected the candidate will be knowledgeable in how a music business operates and of its repertoire and product exploitation in an evolving digital landscape.         
    • Passion for music and desire to build a career in the industry.
