    The Associate Director, Global Playlisting will combine skills in marketing and analytics to remain on the cutting edge of global playlisting. They will be responsible for initiating global playlist marketing campaigns in collaboration with team members focusing on marketing components and partner APIs. Concurrently, they will identify opportunities for playlists and tracks around the world, while mapping up-and-coming genres across regions in order to introduce relevant tracks to the right audiences. They will help to convey these opportunities through visual and accessible action points, either direct-to-stakeholders or within our analytics platform. There will be no central playlist curation in this role, but you will advise markets on best practices.



    • Playlist Strategy: Work in close relationship with the markets to form best practices on what makes a playlist work on the platform focusing on curation, SEO, Portfolio optimization and Global playlisting efforts.
    • Playlist Marketing: Form best practices on the best way to market a playlist off- and on-platform focusing on HPTO solutions, Audio & Display ads, Google analytics for used creative, Marketing optimization, Playlist portfolio’s, and Communities.
    • Global Playlist Campaigns: Coordinate and manage global playlist campaigns working together with local markets. You will source and manage assets that are creative and innovative and will be used across the world.
    • Data Visualization: In the world of streaming we have more data available on trends and performance than ever. You will be pivotal in making data on playlisting and market opportunities understandable for a wider audience and advising senior management on the best possible next steps to build global playlisting powerhouses.
    • Content and Playlist Analytics: You will play an important role in identifying opportunities in tracks in specific regions and markets and the best playlists to help them grow. You will also determine which playlists are essential in building a global hit and identify missing gaps in playlists across the world. It’s essential that you are ahead of the curve on content and playlist trends. Finally, you will be responsible on building a framework to map playlist impact and to track when a song is added to playlists, aided by our internal analytics tools.
    • Product Features for Analytics Platform: Sony has an internal analytics platform that gives insights in content and playlist performance. You will help initiate new features that will help the marketing and sales teams across the work to make their day to day easier
    • Artist Marketing on Streaming: Focus on building an artist proposition on streaming platforms focusing on Artist profiles, artists playlists and working with the platforms to position the artist.
    • Education & Best Practices: Be a central hub to markets for streaming best practices by conducting In-market visits and workshops to help build expertise and strengthen our global network. Assist in growing streaming knowledge in local territories that will help optimize our current roster and attract new artists.





    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in working with playlists on streaming services.
    • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLookups, etc.), experience in PowerPoint and experience with data analytics/visualization software.
    • Strong communication skills.  
    • Analytical mindset - ability to identify trends in large datasets, display creativity in problem-solving, and generate new ideas.
    • Impeccable organizational and multitasking skills.
    • Ability to rally support with internal and outside partners.
    • Highly organized and communicative team player who is detail oriented.
    • Ability to thrive in fast paced environment, manage multiple tasks at once and work to deadlines.
    • Passion for music and desire to build a career in the industry.
    • Experience with advanced analytics and visualization tools (SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, etc) is a plus
