    This position will track and distribute all essential consumption data and pitch strategies to support Columbia’s frontline radio promotion efforts.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide Columbia National and Field Promotion staff with comprehensive view of artist music consumption performance, both nationally and on a local/granular level.
    • Monitor and analyze artist sales, streams, consumption data.
    • Develop/maintain and distribute daily/weekly/realtime reports.
    • Transmute millions of rows of data into actionable insights and executive summaries.
    • Measure and report on the performance of all campaigns, including correlations between radio audience and local consumption.
    • Identify trends and insights based on local consumption data/performance.           
    • Analyze and interpret streaming data across multiple partners including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, YouTube, Pandora, etc.
    • Analyze growth of competitive artists/songs to provide context to Columbia’s performance.
    • Research special projects relating to radio.
    • Oversee and design all internal and third party trade advertisements throughout radio campaigns.
    • Provide department heads, national promotion team & field staff pitch points and strategy for priority campaigns.
    • Interdepartmental collaboration on analysis and metrics with Columbia’s sales/streaming, digital marketing and international teams.
    • Work with and develop Columbia Promotion’s administrative team on new systems and promotion data analysis to improve overall efficiency.

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years of experience in data analysis position.
    • Experience in various music consumption platforms (Mediabase, Nielsen Connect, Soundscan, SCUBA, Apollo, Buzzangle, etc.) strongly preferred.
    • Proactive, self-starter with creativity in problem solving.
    • Excellent organizational and follow through skills.
    • Attention to detail and deadlines.
    • Able to multi-task efficiently and prioritize work load.
    • Able to identify system deficiencies and create new solutions.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Adobe Photoshop.
    • Knowledge of emerging music technology.
